In school nursing services. School Health Nurse providing one on one patient care. This involved chronic disease management during school hours, patient medication administration, educating patients caregiver on chronic disease and management as well as patient monitoring during school hours.

Pediatric Home Health Care. Responsibilities included medication administration, G-tube feedings, chronic disease management, monitoring and taking vitals, personal care of patient and providing caregiver education

• My key responsibilities at the elementary school I was staffed at included sick visit care, injury care, follow up visits, immunizations, chronic disease management, health education, referrals and medication administration. I was the only on staff nurse for a population of 400+ students, the entire school population and successfully maintained the health care leadership role I was given. I’ve accomplished providing students with quality health care and compassion and was able to provide resources to underserved communities. One of those resources being the Florida Heiken Children’s Vision Program, I collaborated with program to provide free eye exams and glasses to students without insurance. That particular experience warmed my heart because children with no vision coverage were able to receive care and resources that is needed for good eye health and their scholastic improvement.
