  • I was an intern at the NMSU UAM for the Summer and Fall terms of 2023. During the Summer terms, my roles included customer service, facility management, social media management, official event photography, and exhibition set up and breakdown for the Wild Pigment Project, Karen Yank and Agnes Martin’s Meditations on Mentor and Student, and Cara Despain’s Specter New Mexico. During the Fall term, my role was to write research papers/biographies on artists in the UAM’s permanent collection.

  • I aided my mother, Melissa Connaster, in the opening and operation of her business, a Tae Kwon Do school, in central Florida. My roles included facility management, customer service, childcare, graphic design, web design, and once I attained my instructor certification and first-degree black belt after 13 years of training, I taught self-defense classes to children, teens, and adults from 2019 to 2022.

Article was published August 18th, 2023.
