In this role as a care partner, I collaborate with registered nurses, licensed mental health professionals, and screeners in our unit to provide behavioral health care to admitted young, middle aged, and geriatric patients suffering from a range of mental illnesses with different severities. My scope of work includes therapeutic interventions, assisting and facilitating unit support activities, treatments, the transfer of patients to and from our unit, and ensuring the safety of our patients and staff.
