I would prep in the morning for food items we needed and restock on items we were low on. I helped mange money on the cashier, as well as greet and welcome customers, take orders, as well as prepare the orders I had taken. After my shift was finished I would clean the areas I used, wash dishes, mop, break down boxes and throw them away. I would also order any items that were needed for the cafe area.
I'd check in any child that would come into my classroom, I was a teacher for newborn babies up until 2 years old. I was super close with all my kids in the classroom. They would receive breakfast, have learning activities, such as painting, reading, learning how to wash our hands, on hands activities, as well as outside time and naptime. I would update parents on diaper changes, foods they ate and didn't eat, just our daily routine throughout the day. All parents were able to see updates through an app. I would keep my room clean constantly so babies wouldn't get sick. I was also there for many of the milestones.
I would greet customers as they walked in, took orders and set everything at their table once they were ready to eat. I would check up on them, ask if the food was okay and if they needed anything extra that I hadn't got them. I would mange the cashier box, helped with customers who were ready to pay, whether their order was to go or eating at the restaurant, walk around and make sure servers were writing all orders on tables. I would also tip out the servers and cooks at the end of our shifts.
Cultivated warm relationships with regular customers.
