As pacific partnership 2022 security patrolman, petty officer Perez Rodriguez was vital in support of a highly restrictive environment ensuring security access and freedom of movements were maintained in order to achieve all planned mission events. As shore patrol member, he ensured the safety of pacific partnership personnel while observing restrictions established by the host nations. He performed operations and anti-piracy watches during four strait transits in the seventh fleet area of responsibility greatly contributing to the safety and security of 750 sailors and civilian mariners. Petty Officer Perez Rodriguez exceptional professionalism, unrelenting perseverance, and dedication to duty reflected credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States naval service.
