- Developed in-house metrics collection system for a monitoring and alerting solution solely based on Java/xMatters/Slack, Apache Kafka for streaming the metrics
- Used Kafka/databus to queue the metrics and used Grafana dashboards to present an almost live view of the server statuses including their memory and disk utilization
- Used xMatters/Slack to push alerts and info messages for managing the server alerts
- Single handledly around 30 Raspberry Pi based IoT clients that were used to play and collect video QoE metrics
- Improved the quality of metrics by moving the Rasbian OS to 64bit
- Used AWS IoT core remote jobs and wrote custom software upgrade and installation templates to maintain keep the software up-to-date on the Raspberry Pi remotely
- Implemented an alerting mechanism with xMatters and slack when an AWS IoT client's remote agent goes offline
- Used AWS IoT device sdk to connect to these remote IoT things securely via browser based ssh sessions
- Maintained AWS lambda functions that were used to collect and store the metrics into the AWS Timestream
