Project Overview & Purpose: The MCPP project serves as a cornerstone of the Majnoon Growth Program. Its primary purpose is to establish an independent, centralized power generation and distribution infrastructure for the Majnoon Oilfield. This initiative provides reliable, stable power to critical assets, including gas sweetening facilities and degassing stations, ensuring operational autonomy and grid reliability for the field’s expansion.

Executive Scope of Responsibilities: In my capacity as the technical and administrative lead, I have directed the End-to-End (EPC) electrical execution for the facility. This role involves full lifecycle governance, from substation infrastructure development to the complex integration of generation units into the field’s power grid, ensuring strict compliance with international industrial standards and BOC technical specifications.

  • Substation & Power Grid Integration:
    Directing the installation and commissioning of a 132/33kV Grid Substation, including the structural alignment and electrical integration of high-capacity Power Transformers.
    Supervising the deployment of GIS/AIS High Voltage switchgear technology, ensuring seamless protection coordination and breaker reliability for the plant’s main feed.
    Managing the complex synchronization panels, ensuring precise frequency and voltage alignment between gas turbine generators and the internal field grid.
  • Advanced Electrical Distribution & Control:
    Leading the installation of integrated E-Houses and MV/LV switchgear lineups (33kV, 11kV, and 400V) to support high-intensity industrial loads.
    Overseeing the configuration of Motor Control Centers (MCCs), incorporating VFDs and advanced soft starters to optimize the energy efficiency of compressors, pumps, and cooling systems.

Project Overview & Purpose: The primary objective of this brownfield upgradation project was to capture, treat, and compress low-pressure associated gas from degassing stations, effectively eliminating gas flaring. The upgraded compression facilities routed the pressurized gas to NGL plants for final processing.

  • Power Distribution & Substation Integration:
    Led the installation, testing, and integration of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) switchgears, along with modular E-Houses (Substation Buildings).
    Managed the deployment of Motor Control Centers (MCCs) feeding high-capacity gas compressors, cooling fans, and auxiliary pumps, heavily utilizing advanced soft starters and robust MCCB configurations.
    Oversaw the precise configuration and scheme checks of protective relays to ensure system stability, optimal fault clearing, and protection of critical industrial control logic.
    Ensured all power equipment and high-ambient temperature transformers were strictly rated to withstand the extreme climatic conditions of the region.
  • Hazardous Area Installations & Cabling Infrastructure:
    Directed the complex routing, pulling, and termination of power, control, and instrumentation cables across the brownfield site.
