As a BLS Transport EMT, I provided patient care during interfacility and non-emergent transports, ensuring safety, comfort, and continuity of care. I performed primary and secondary assessments, obtained and trended vital signs, monitored SpO₂, and mental status, and identified changes in patient condition.

During ALS transports, I functioned as the EMT partner, supporting the paramedic in advanced patient care. My responsibilities included assisting with patient assessment and monitoring, preparing and maintaining equipment, establishing cardiac monitoring when directed, and assisting with airway management and oxygen delivery, including CPAP. I assisted with IV setup, medication preparation, and patient positioning as requested, while continuously monitoring vital signs and patient response to treatment. I maintained clear communication with the paramedic and receiving facilities, ensured scene and transport safety, and supported efficient, organized patient care throughout transport.
