Artistic Involvement

As mentioned above, I volunteer at The Creative Reuse Center, which has a retail-driven environment. Here, I participated in back house restocking and front of house merchandizing, as well as pricing, and working the cash register. I performed as a sales associate and created displays to showcase products and materials in an eye-catching way. I particularly enjoy this job because it connects my creative passions with giving back to my community. I get to demonstrate my talents and learn new life-skills. Additionally, I get to find inspiration within my surroundings–including the materials–some of which make it back home with me, used within various personal projects, art shows, or even products I create to sell within my own realm of business.
