  • Purchased, owned, and managed private solo dermatology practice from 2001-2017. Expanded practice by hiring additional Board Certified Dermatologist in 2017, and another in 2022.
    Continued to manage all aspects of group practice including patient care, hiring and training staff, human resources, managing inventory, ordering supplies, managing EMR system, MIPS, website, facility and property maintenance,.
  • Monitor effectiveness of skin treatments and made necessary improvements or changes.
  • Diagnose and treat skin conditions such as acne, dandruff, athlete's foot, moles, psoriasis and skin cancer.
  • Oversee clinical quality of dermatologic care while also evaluating new areas of service.
  • Maintain accessibility to clinical staff in-person and by phone during normal working hours to advise treatment and management of patients.
  • Establish communication standards and processes that facilitated team-based care with referring physicians.
  • Prioritize patients with severe inflammatory skin disease, suspected melanomas and rapidly growing skin cancers.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being
  • Order and execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient condition.
  • Review patient allergies, problems, medications, and immunization statuses.
  • Provide specialist medical opinion and clinical consultations at request of medical colleagues.
  • Perform biopsies to diagnose melanoma and other skin cancers
  • Diagnose and treat dermatological diseases in outpatient settings and educate patients and families on treatment and maintenance of disease.
  • Order diagnostic tests such as chest radiographs, microbiologic tests or endocrinologic tests.
  • Recommend diagnostic tests based on patients' histories and physical examination findings.
  • Counsel patients on topics such as need for annual dermatologic screenings, sun protection and skin cancer awareness.

  • Clinical study using 3.75% imiquimod cream for actinic keratoses. Results showed that using intermittent dosing of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 2 weeks on, was as effective as continuous dosing but had less side effects.
