Liaison between the Army and local civilians around the world. Identify what critical resources local citizens may need during missions or in crisis situations, foster and maintaining communication with civilian aid agencies and civilian relief and assistance organizations. Responsible for coordinating, conducting, and participating in the planning and production of civil affairs related operations.
Performs duties as a Drill Sergeant in a Basic Combat Training Platoon consisting of up to 60 Initial Entry Training Soldiers each 10 week cycle; skillfully executes the mission of transforming civilians into competent and confident Soldiers; maintains the highest standards while teaching the basics of Soldiering; assists in preparing, executing, and assessing rifle marksmanship training, combat fitness training and common tasks skills training; develops and maintains discipline and ensures the health and personal well being of all assigned Soldiers; assists in the accountability of over $200,000 of equipment.
Operate and maintain the M1A1 tank and its systems for combat and training operations. Be technically and tactically proficient in all four positions (Commander, Gunner, Loader, Driver). Maintain basic Soldier skills such as weapons qualifications, land navigation and physical fitness.
Supervised multiple units housing containing up to 500 inmates and a dozen correction officers who ran them. Ensured the inmates and officers were following departmental safety standards/policies and assisted them as needed. Responded to emergencies in my designated area, conducted investigations and completed necessary admin tasks as required.
Housing Officer: Supervised a housing unit of up to 120 inmates, tend to their needs as required and ensured a safe and clean living environment.
General Assignment Officer: Emergency response to inmate altercations, stand for inmate movements, conduct post reliefs, security checks, inmate escorts and other various admin tasks as required.
