Personal Ventures

  • KewtDogs.com, 2017-01-01, 2018-12-31, I ran KewtDogs.com for a year after I graduated high school. It was a single person operation hence I handled everything from customer service to analyzing which products would sell and the frequency of each item. The hardest part for myself was walking up to random students on campus handing my business card / striking up conversations with them.

Stock Trading Experience

2016-01-01, 2018-12-31, In relation to investing within the market, I did luck out in this aspect. My father introduced me to the market at 15 years of age. In addition to an early introduction, he assisted me in who to and not to listen to for micro and macro economics to formulate proper judgements. This experience of day trading and longer-term investing showed me importance of patience and what proper analysis of information can do. To build long term wealth, a proper structure must be placed to achieve desired goals and to mitigate emotional reactions to circumstances. Another important attribute I learned within this process is the correlation of an individuals input with the output they will receive. The more knowledge acquired before deciding upon said operation, the higher probability said operation will yield a positive return. This has a positive correlation with person-to-person interactions and truly anything of importance in life.

Communication Experience - Description

At WSU Vancouver, one of the graduation related courses includes a MAP program. This program partners a group of students with a local business that is requesting assistance to develop a new opportunity within their organization. Historically speaking, a typical group had 6 members operating on the client they are partnered with. My group had 4 members, yet this unfortunately turned into 2 members. One of the four members had to withdrawal from our course and the other member did absolutely nothing through the entire semester. Therefore, efficient communication between myself, my friend, our mentor was crucial to achieve the final product we created for our client. At the end, our client appreciated the program we created for them with the new stream of income we provided for their business. The end product consisted of a thorough breakdown of our assessments within a 29-page document and a presentation associated with the project.

Leadership Experience

I would consider myself to be a natural leader in most circumstances. As of now, I have a clear understanding of how a proper team should operate. Especially through the interaction I've had with the various entrepreneurs I've contacted asking them how they structured their operations. The reasons why they came to the end conclusions and operational structure they did. The challenges they faced and the experiences that allowed them to propel forwards because of those situations. Within a work environment, if there is a leader present, I will sit back and analyze everything that is happening in front of me. If I see some attributes can be amplified. I will voice my opinion with facts supporting my claim. Yet, if the current operation is indeed efficient as is, then I will continue forwards and assist in any manner I can. Even though online games may seem like an irrelevant factor to consider, I managed a group of 150 members within Rise of Kingdoms for eight months between November 2019 - June 2020. Through this process, I met individuals like Ong Kah Seng from Singapore who is the founder of M5 Equipment. He taught me his perspective of what proper leadership is like in addition to other segments like his approach to investing. From my experiences in life, there is no one-size-fits-all in leadership. Some individuals I listen to include Patrick Bet-David, founder of PHP Agency. David Meltzer, co-founder of Sports 1 Marketing. Gary Vaynerchuk, founder of VaynerMedia, and various other entrepreneurs talk about their experiences as leaders. Yet all of them agree that proper leadership is achieved through a thorough analysis of everyone's situation and their desires in life. The motivations for one may never be a motivational factor for another. Understanding each person's variables allows leaders to have the most efficient team.
