I started my teaching career January of 2022 in a Communications class for kindergarten through second grade students. In this classroom I used specially designed instruction based on the students individual education plan goals and objectives. I created visual schedules to support each student to transition through the day with ease. Students in the class used sign language, visual cue cards, and text-to-speech technology to communicate. During the 2022-2023 school year I was a Special Education Inclusion teacher for mainly kindergarten and third grade with a few students in second and fifth. I then transferred to Hebron High School where I have been currently teaching an Academic Vocational Lifeskills class the past 2 school years. I have previous experience working with clients ranging from 2 months to 95 years old in a variety of settings. I was a caregiver for senior clients that needed help with everyday necessities. As well as a personal care attendant for an individual with multiple disabilities that needed assistance with feeding, bathing, grooming, transferring to wheelchair, and text-to-speech technology to be able to communicate.
