- I greet guests, sit them down at a table and give them their menus and silverware. I also Cash customers out so when they pay for their meals they come to me and also being a Register person I am responsible for taking carryout orders as well. At the end of the night before my shift is over I have little chores that we call “Hostess chores”. For example, cleaning bathrooms, rolling silverware, taking the trash out, cutting bread, and stocking.
