Searching for a position that can be attained while managing my class schedule, as well as following my passion of sports journalism and announcing.
• Internship at Webster University, lead broadcaster.
• Leading the entirely freshman broadcaster crew by teaching how to broadcast games at a higher level, keep track of who's running cameras, production, color commentary, etc. for games and help set up the audio and cameras for our production crew before our broadcasts.
• Calling almost every baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball home game for the Gorloks.
• Creating content from our broadcasts for the new Gorlok Sports Network social media pages to increase engagement with our brand.
• Teaching the ropes of broadcast journalism to 7-15 year olds while working closely with CBS Sports sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson at Camp Winadu.
• As one of the activities the campers could partake in, they would be taught the basics of broadcasting and writing about different sports, and getting real-world experience by commentating sporting events going on around Camp Winadu and interviewing their fellow campers following their matches.
• The role also included being a general counselor for a group of campers throughout the summer.
The Berkeley Broadcast Network is a high-school student organization dedicated to creating professional live streaming productions of Berkeley events, including athletic games.
