As a barista I had to make complicated drinks while under pressure and maintaining a clean and organized work space. Some of my responsibilities as a Host include greeting guests in a friendly way, organizing the floor and seating correctly, as well as managing phones. For Expo, I am responsible for organizing, preparing, and delivering food to their proper tables.
During my time as a UTA, I was responsible for preparing and teaching a section of the lab each week for Human Anatomy. I also was responsible for proctoring exams, cadaver care and maintenance, and helping provide free tutoring to the students every week. Once during the semester, I was also responsible for lecturing one lab session.
At Woodstocks, I had to know all of the front of house and back of house operations. I also had to resolve any problems that customers had and maintain good customer service. I was responsible for counting all tips and registers. I was in charge of providing breaks and sending them home when their shifts were over. While here I also worked in-house, prepped, was a server, and served at the bar. I performed cashiering, making food, answering phones, using the p.o.s and prepping as well. I had to manage time and work well with others during highly stressful situations. I also was responsible for training new employees.
At the county my responsibilities included filing paperwork, processing applicants, doing field surveys, reviewing and serving grading permits. I also had to take phone calls, answer emails, and attend meetings. I also had to sort and process year’s worth of files.
