To Whom it may Concern: Admissions to St Lukes
Re: Patient Access Specialist
I am excited to apply for the patient access specialist position at St Lukes ! As a new graduate with a Bachelor of Nursing from Griffith University, I am excited to get into the work force and begin my nursing career. I am excited to begin my nursing career in an organization with the excellent reputation that your facility upholds. While I am registered in Australia, I am working towards registration for the state of Idaho in the near future.
The Bachelor of Nursing program and my Bachelor of Health Science degree from Bond University has provided me with a strong knowledge base and practiced skills for delivering patient-centered medical attention in a fast-paced and challenging environment. I have a passion for providing quality care to patients and the necessary leadership skills to encourage staff members to strive to provide above standard levels of service. My experience includes many hours of handling patient loads ranging from 3-5, depending on the acuity of the patients on the ward. I have critical care experience from working in the Special Care Nursery, as well as being involved in countless Met Calls while working on the wards. Furthermore, I have completed 3 of my month-long placements at this hospital and I am very familiar with how your Wards & theatre run; increasing the ease of transition from a student to a new grad. Being calm, collected, and focused was a recognized strength of mine during critical patient crisis that was noticed by my colleagues.
During my degree, placement hours, and working two jobs as an international student, I have become extremely organized, calm, collected, and can handle my time extremely well. My 10+ years in hospitality and receptionist career has provided me with excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. During my time as a medical receptionist, I have been recognized as a dedicated and ambitious worker. During my placement hours, I was recognized as an eager, empathetic, smart student who handled difficult situations with proficiency. I believe a relationship with your hospital will be mutually beneficial, as I am seeking a challenging work environment where I can fully enhance my skills. I look forward to an opportunity to meet with you in a personal interview where we can discuss the contribution, the role, and my application with you in greater detail. I thank you for your time and consideration in reviewing my qualifications and look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely, Allyson Pfeil
