Being an Operator 1 requires good communication skills. If something is wrong with the bag or the machine we have to notify the machine operator 2 immediately so our production numbers don't decrease.
Operator 1 training lasted 5 days and then they have you work the auto packer by yourself. I've been there for a little over 4 months and my production numbers always hit the target or go over it.
Being a Pharmacy technician can be confusing at times when the medication you need to fill isn't in the correct spot, if there are no more of it, or if it is a multi-order. Meaning you need to be able to communicate with the supervisor or other technicians in order to accurately fill the prescription. Training lasted about 3 days and then we were put on the floor. Immediately I was good at filling and became the top filler in my shift.
Working at UPS people were very easy to work with. After I had been there for 2 weeks I had got the hang of it and I was good at working in a fast paced work environment so they were switching me from surepost to bay 1.
Working in fast food means the occasional rude customer(s), when I encountered them I just stayed polite and made sure they got what they wanted. After my first month at McDonald's they asked me to be a crew trainer.
