Tasks:

• Ensure department runs smoothly by successfully processing and sorting freight from attainment to end of outbound process in time efficient manner
• Identifying labels and sorting packages to send out to stores
• Managing outbound wing to ensure trucks were closed when ready
• Collaborate with team members to perform tasks in specified time
• Solve issues with inventory (i.e. missed/damaged freight, etc.)
• Communicate with other departments to synchronize tasks

Achievements:

• Routinely sorted 800 packages per shift
• Routinely closed at least 20 doors per shift
• Offered trainer position within first 90 days

Developers are grouped together and tasked with adding features and fleshing out an already existing app built by another student. This experience provided invaluable hands on experience working with a development team while working on a real-world deployable project.
