Healthy Families Family Support Specialist Supervisor

  • Supervise up to six Healthy Families Family Support Specialists and monitor all functions of the Healthy Families program.
  • Provide 2 hours of weekly supervision to each staff member on my team; supervision includes administrative, reflective, and clinical aspects of home visiting.
  • Conduct interviews, hires, and direct training of new staff, with Program Director.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality improvement efforts to ensure clients receive accurate services from staff. This includes shadowing staff on home visits, contacting families by phone, and providing families with opportunities to complete surveys.
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions as necessary and pertinent to Healthy Families staff to meet Healthy Families requirements.
  • Work closely with Senior administration to ensure all staff maintain required number of clients with appropriate case weights.
  • Support and motivate staff.
  • Work with Program Director and Senior Administration to monitor all billing requirements are met.
  • Monitors staff adherence to Healthy Families critical elements and initiates revisions of policies and procedures as deemed appropriate with HF Program Director.
  • Complete required statistical reports as required for funding sources and grants.
  • Attends and facilitates numerous amount of Healthy Families meetings also additional meetings throughout the state of Indiana.
  • Provides required statistical reports, in a timely manner to the Program Director, DCS, HFI, and other funders as required.
  • Actively advocates for all children, families, and persons with mental illness served by MHA.
  • Observe safe job practices, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • KPI (key performance indicator) which measures the Healthy Families program performance.
  • CQI (continuous quality improvement) management and staff create constantly improving quality.
  • Massive data collecting and coding quantitative data.
  • Promotes Mental Health America, and Healthy Families to the community through education, and public relations including existing community partnerships.
