My nursing career has included a range of positions. I am currently an inpatient case manager at Kindred Hospital in San Diego. I maintain a daily case load of twenty or more complex medical patients. I work closely with physicians, various insurance agencies, Kindred's interdisciplinary team, patients, families, home health agencies and other providers. My role consists of detailed discharge planning focusing on successful patient discharges to the appropriate lower level of care. Prior to becoming a case manager, I was a director of nursing for a local home health agency in San Diego.
