- Welcoming patients when they walk through the door
- Checked patients in and out of each appointment, scheduling their next appointments.
- Going over patients daily treatment plans, having them sign for consent and collecting co-pays.
- Answering phone calls and assisting patients over the phone.
- Calling each patient to remind them of their upcoming appointments.
- Scanning in patients paperwork, consent forms and daily treatment plans.
- Calling insurance companies to check on unpaid claims, while writing letters to the insurance companies and sending in needed information on claims.
- Welcoming patients- seating them in operatories for dental treatments and or exams, going over their treatment for the day, answering any questions and/or addressing any concerns the patient might have, comforting patients when needed, taking patient's vitals.
- Scanning patients with Itero scanner.
- Placing Invisalign attachments, walking patient through the beginning process of Invisalign, while assisting the dentist during each Invisalign appointment.
- Assisting the dentist with procedures such as, crown and bridge preps, resin fillings, partials and dentures, oral surgery, oral exams, seating of crown and bridges and root canals; suctioning and passing of instruments.
- Going over post-operative instructions with patients after each procedure.
- Setting up and breaking down operatories, disinfecting entire operatory room after each patient, setting up all barriers, setting up dental instruments and materials that will be needed for each procedure.
- Stocking each operatory with new materials when they get low.
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining OSHA requirements through out the office.
- Taking dental radiographs.
- Taking alginate impressions and impressions for temporary crowns and bridges, fabricating temporary crowns and bridges, cementing temporaries, pouring up alginate impressions and trimming models, packing cord for crown preps, removal of temporary crowns.
- Cleaning patients teeth ages 12 and under, placing sealants, applying fluoride, sizing and coronal polish of all ages.
- Writing patient's chart notes.
- Making adjustments to partials and dentures, also helped assist with the dentist and lab techs for each step in making of dentures and partials.
- Checked in cases from all dental labs.
