Amanat Sandhu

Motivated high school student with a strong interest in healthcare and hands-on experience in clinical and dental settings. Through surgeon shadowing in the surgical department at Sutter Health, I gained early exposure to patient care, surgical teamwork, and hospital workflow. I have also supported daily operations in a dental office by verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, assisting with charting, and communicating with patients. As a bilingual Punjabi speaker, I help interpret for patients to improve understanding and comfort in medical environments. In addition to my healthcare experiences, I demonstrate leadership through mentoring younger students at Sunday Punjabi school and through international soccer training in Spain, where I developed adaptability, teamwork, and resilience. I am eager to continue learning about medicine through hands-on experience and service to my community.
