Most pieces performed consisted of a multi song repertoire. Throughout my college career attending a performing arts college, I have performed songs in English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Hebrew and Latin. I have also performed songs from musical theater such as Phantom of the Opera, The Secret Garden, and A Chorus Line.
Being a member of a Vocal Jazz group consists of us performing jazz standards (Unforgettable, Blue Rondo a la turk, Ja-Da and many more.) We have also sang popular songs such as a Michael Jackson Medley with a jazz structure.
When performing solos, songs are chosen to tell a story. When performing at Don't Tell Mama songs were structured to tell a story about dealing with the different phases of grief (Hurt: Christina Aguilera, Footprints in the Sand: Leona Lewis, Bye Bye: Mariah Carey and Something in the Water: Carrie Underwood.)
