Amanda Senger

• As a licensed Pathology Assistant, I work under the supervision of a pathologist to perform tasks related to anatomical pathology. These tasks include inspecting, dissecting and preparing a wide range of tissue samples, performing autopsies and specimen surgeries, evaluating and recording findings and producing medical reports. I provide intensive laboratory skills, academic and practical training and attention to detail to every case.
• 2021- Current

• I worked under the supervision of forensic pathologists and closely with law enforcement to perform tasks related to forensic and anatomical pathology. These tasks included preparing and assisting with postmortem exams, dissecting, retrieving and testing tissue samples, taking DNA for analysis, collecting sexual assault kits, in house toxicology and serology testing, taking forensic photographs, misc. evidence collection, preparing, handling correspondence, ordering equipment, managing schedules, and training other staff.
• 2009-2021

• I worked under the supervision of pathologists, residents and veterinary students to perform tasks related to anatomical pathology. These tasks included complete necropsies on all animal species, dissecting and preparing a wide range of samples for histology and other testing, supervising students and maintaining equipment.
• 2008-2009

Procurement and dissection of anatomical specimens.

Preparation, examination and serology testing of whole body donors for tissue procurement.

Maintaining surgical and lab equipment.

Ensuring proper disposal of biohazard materials.

Preparing shipments, tracking inventory and ensuring delivery of specimens.

Working closely with physicians, researchers and medical equipment development companies.

Traveling with mobile lab supplies and cadaver tissue to labs across the country at hospitals and surgical centers.
