My ability to have empathy is the reason I know I am a positive asset for my employer, our patients and families. I am a strong asset in regard to patient and family education; I have been rewarded for my ability to assess situations to see where educational needs are present. As a Charge Nurse my communication is powerful and effective for the diversity present in healthcare. I worked in sales for 15 years before returning to school to obtain my registered nursing license. My love for sales, communication, and nursing combine to create strengths that benefit both the patient and the company I work for. My most recent work was 8 years at Hospice Of Cincinnati Inpatient Care Center; helping families and patients navigate life with terminal diagnosis. Terminal illness and chronic diseases can be overwhelming for patients and families ; both need an advocate who can listen and educate with best practices and guidance for comfort. I have confidence in the conversations about disease processes, what to expect, and where to find support. One of my strongest points is the ability to educate patients and families from all backgrounds and disease processes; I enjoy creating with them the best possible path for their healthcare management.
