Dedicated and Hardworking RN House Supervisor with success in helping build this hospital to where it is to this day. As a registered nurse with 10 years of experience, I believe that I will be well suited for the Nurse Manager position. During my career as a nurse, I have worked hard to form myself into a disciplined nurse to give my patients the best care that they deserve. As a supervisor, I have worked tirelessly to ensure that my staff is taken care of as well as the patients.
I have proudly served the US military members and their families in my contract position with WIC Overseas in Rota, Spain. I operated the WIC program office with a part-time administrative assistant to help on heavy scheduled days for two years. I ran both offices for this program in Spain by myself with marketing the company and running the program in its entirety. I grew the company from 90 members to 230 within the time of my employment thru presentations and correlating with the hospital and DOD schools to promote the program to its full potential. I was able to provide nutrition recommendations and education to women during pregnancy, women during breastfeeding, infants and children up to the age of 5 years old. I had a strong impact on my community during my tour in Rota, Spain and I loved to be a part of teaching and education to all ages. I did more than what was asked of me from my job and showed up for any events or classes that was offered from the Naval Hospital and the Fleet and Family Services that involved educating this specific group of patients.
Assistant Director of Nursing of a facility in Norfolk, Virginia. During my time of employment as ADON, we unfortunately had an emergency evacuation of the building that housed at least 169 residents. It was a difficult time for everyone involved and especially for the residents and their loved ones. The evacuation took a lot of collaboration with doctors, pharmacies, employees, different facilities housing our residents and employees, the families, and the state to get us back in operation. It took almost two weeks to get our residents back home, after an unfortunate event, but we worked day and night to make it happen as a team. It was a great learning experience.
I believe my experiences in different fields of nursing has given me the opportunity to grow as a more knowledgeable, experienced nurse.
