- Prior to shift start assess department readiness, review workload, and identify priorities and bottlenecks in all through hole departments. (hand solder, wash, selective solder, parts population, wave, wash, depanel, prep, conformal coating)
- Begin each day by checking all through hole work areas for current job status, staffing, and schedule alignment.
- Maintain a clear understanding of production priorities including rush and "hot" jobs and communicate effectively with all leads and supervisors.
- Ensure all personnel are working on the correct and highest priority jobs.
- Oversee the daily schedule and workload distribution across all through hole areas.
- Coordinate closely with SMT schedule to ensure upcoming assemblies are properly prepped and ready for through hole processing.
- Keep notes on daily progress and department status to ensure smooth handoff and continuity between shifts
- Authorize and plan overtime when necessary to meet delivery commitments and reduce it immediately once workloads normalize.
- Address and document performance and behavioral issues including excessive socializing, tardiness, cell phone use, or unauthorized breaks.
- Maintain all work areas in a clean, organized, and professional condition.
- Reinforce and uphold on ESD, safety, and quality procedures in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Actively engage with leads, supervisors, and support departments to ensure production goals are met.
