• Applied prior knowledge of salt bridge conductivity and electric circuits to create an Enhanced Cathodic Substrate (ECS) fuel cell to generate electricity from glucose and anaerobic bacteria.
• Utilized fundamental knowledge of engineering applications to ensure the financial affordability of the ECS fuel cell units to the target demographic (the Indian State governments and suburban population).
• Conducted field tests in 21 Indian suburbs; a power of 0.48W was generated by the high-fidelity prototype and a parallel combination of 20 fuel cells successfully powered a 9W bulb from an input of 0.5lbs of manure and 200mL sugar-water.
