As a Scout in Troop 180, I held various leadership positions. These were some of my responsibilities:
Patrol Leader
- Lead and manage the patrol of scouts ensuring they are prepared for troop activities including campouts and saw to it that we worked as a team.
Senior Patrol Leader
- Worked with the Scoutmaster to create the Monthly Meeting Agenda, ran the monthly meeting, created duty rosters, and delegated duties to scouts.
- Helped plan the monthly campouts by creating the schedule and lead the scouts in sticking to the schedule.
- Had to know all the rules and requirements of the activities to make sure the scouts were safe over the weekend.
- I gathered ideas from the scouts on various subjects and made sure to communicate those to the adult troop leaders.
Quartermaster
- Made sure the Troop Trailer was cleaned, organized, and ready for the next month's campout.
- I cleaned the chuckboxes and made sure they were re-stocked with supplies each month.
Troop Guide/Instructor
- I helped younger scouts with all of their outdoor skills required for advancing in rank.
Eagle Scout Rank: the highest possible rank in BSA
- Completed all required 22 merit badges.
- Planned and lead the scouts in a significant service project that benefited my community.
- Completed over a hundred hours of community service on my path to Eagle.
