- Responsible for day to day laboratory operations of the digital department for 6 Prosthodontist offices
- Managing case deadlines and rush cases
- Design restorations for crown and bridge and implants using ExoCAD software
- Design and build digital models utilizing ExoCAD and MeshMixer
- Mill restorations out of the Ivoclar PM7 mill using materials such as multilayer zirconia, PMMA, Ivotion dentures and wax pucks
- Maintaining the PM7 mill and our SprintRay printers via regular cleanings, calibrations and trouble shooting when needed
- Train and mentor fellow technicians in digital design, milling, and 3D printing techniques
- Optimize digital workflows to improve productivity and reduce errors in dental restorations
- Manage implant inventory as well as 3D printing inventory
- Working closely with our prosthodontists to help achieve ideal designs and quality restorations for our patients
- Personally design and manage all of the large esthetic that come to the lab (10+ units)
- Promoted to lead CAD/CAM technician within 6 months of employment
Dental Lab Assistant

- Build digital models from 3D scans using ExoCAD software
- Nest milling jobs for zirconia, PMMA, and EMAX crowns and bridges using various CAM software
- Set up 3D printing jobs for digital models, all-on-X temporaries, casting appliances, and gingiva using multiple 3D print software such as FormLabs and Accuware
- Post-printing processing of all digital models
- Place digital analogs on implant models
- Simulate gingiva on digital models using a handpiece, siltec, and gingifast when required
- Fabricate retainers, nightguards, and bleach trays using a pro-form machine and handpiece
- Ensure all cases I'm assigned adhere to the doctors' requests
- Contour milled wax crowns and bridges for EMAX pressing using a handpiece
- Sprue wax crowns using a hand waxer for multi-unit EMAX cases
- Invest, press, and divest EMAX rings and cut crowns from sprues/ingots
- Shade match using photos and/or old crowns and teeth using multiple shade guides for EMAX cases
