I've been in dentistry since May of 1998. I've thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of learning dentistry over the years. It's second nature to me at this point. I've always loved making my patients feel at ease and comfortable while they're there because no one wants to be at the dentist. I love seeing how much more confidence they have after I've helped in create a smile makeover for them. I absolutely LOVE the ordering and managing the budget part of my job. Although I'm very comfortable in this field and very qualified at this job, I'm very open to new opportunities too and would love to have more flexibility. I'm an extremely hard worker and take great pride in my work. I have leadership and supervisor qualifications and adapt to just about anything quickly and feel I would be a great asset to any team or field.
Clinical Supervisor of our team, which consists of making sure the clinical team flows smoothly and stays on time. I'm also responsible for ordering any and all supplies for our office while continuing to stay under a tight budget. This is in addition to my clinical duties as well.
My clinical job requires a lot of excellent time management skills. I'm certified in radiology to take xrays such as: Panorex, Periapical's and Bitewing Xrays. I place both anterior and posterior restorations, with anterior cases being my specialty, especially full mouth rehabs. It also includes taking vitals, going over treatment plans and finances with patients, packing cord or traxodent, core buildups. I am adept at making temporary crown(s) from start to finish and scanning for final restorations. I'm proficient in taking full mouth impressions (if needed) of both mandibular and maxillary jaws and pouring those models.
Whitening patients with either in office whitening or take home trays, seating permanent crown, bridges, bite guards and any removable appliance.
I assist in oral surgery, especially surgical implant placement and any and all extractions. I'm very familiar with root canal therapy, especially Wave One.
I'm also very experienced in Sure Smile or Invisalign Orthodontics.
I am also responsible for completing all clinical notes.
I moved to Lexington after I got married and worked there for a couple years because my husband was accepted into Law School at the University of Kentucky.
Job duties were the same as previous job at Family Care Dentistry.
After graduation, we moved back to our hometown.

My job description was the same as it was at the other offices. However, in addition, I was also responsible for ordering any and all supplies and staying under an extremely tight budget. I'm very good at finding the best deals and being as frugal as I possibly can to save my company as much money as possible. This was all in addition to all my clinical duties too.
I'm cross trained, which means I'm very familiar with the insurance part of dentistry as well as the clinical part I'd say my biggest asset is making my patients feel comfortable and at ease, managing the budget extremely well, my time proficient management skills and creating beautiful smiles for my patients every single time
