FIT4MOM is a pre and postnatal fitness franchise with locations all over the country. When I was an owner, territories were purchased by zip codes after demographical analysis.

I purchased one small territory in Colorado Springs, CO in 2011. I expanded throughout the state of Colorado and by 2016 operated 16 locations throughout the state. I because the largest FIT4MOM franchise in the country out of over 300 franchises at that time. I was the top grossing franchise as well. I employed roughly 40 instructors and maintained a membership of 500-700 depending on the time of year. I offered 6-8 programs, each producing their own revenue stream with crossover members as well as individual members in each group. When I sold the franchise, I sold it for 50 times my initial investment after four and half years of profitability and paying myself a competitive salary.

Military Spouse Station Overseas (Germany/S Korea)

Self
2006.11 - 2011.02

While I was in South Korea I saw a need for birth support for young pregnant Military wives who were in a foreign country, most likely for the first time, and far away from their families preparing to have a baby. I flew to Hawaii and trained to become a birth doula, who is a woman that supports another woman in birth. She supports emotionally, rather than medically.

Later, I certified as a childbirth educator and completed 200 hours of childbirth education teaching hours while in South Korea. Most of the couples were young American Army couples.

While stationed overseas, it is difficult to work and more so if you have young children. This was an opportunity to learn a new skill and a new way of connecting with people that I believe is exceptional experience.
