Work History

Creative Producer

Initially, I was asked by executive producers to write a script report on a first cut. As a result of that report, the director asked me to come on board as a producer.

  • I worked as the story producer and creative producer of what eventually became FREE POWER, a feature-length climate doc on the politics of what powers our homes.
  • Review all prior research material and rushes to create a stronger narrative, through line, and four-act structure.
  • Additional research for the through-line and expert speakers. (Inclusive of speaker approach)
  • Recruited staff, including an editor, a composer, marketers, designers, and local production crews.
  • Included contracts, agent negotiations, and diversity hire requirements.
  • My goal was to diversify both the speakers and the team to improve the project.
  • Scheduled shoot dates with Aether's in-house team.
  • Edit rounds, briefing notes
  • Post-production schedule management with the post supervisor.
  • …and obviously so much more when you are a small production house making an independent feature

Accomplishments

I was the first in my family to go to university. Reading English Language and Literature at Oxford University. Where my insomnia finally proved useful, when all my late nights watching European arthouse cinema made me the perfect candidate for an experimental film module for which I received a first class. I also was a finalist in many comedy competitions over the years- but that is all a blur now.
