The Manager of Network Partnerships will assist Network Partner organizations in developing programs that are effectively implementing the Multisystemic Therapy treatment model. The Manager of Network Partnerships will assist organizations in a variety of ways to ensure the success of the MST programs and will be the primary point of contact for all issues related to the success of the Network Partner organization. This will include the training and support of MST Experts and MST Program Developers/Network Partner Directors as well as oversight of all training, clinical consultation, system/ organizational consulting and quality assurance activities provided to or by the Network Partner.
An MST Expert will train, support and guide MST programs to help them effectively implement the Multisystemic Therapy treatment model. An MST Expert will provide training and guidance in the theory and application of MST to personnel involved with the MST program and who hold a variety of positions including clinicians, supervisors, administrators, and policy makers. With the direct support of an MST coach, the MST expert will provide to assigned MST programs weekly telephone consultation, ongoing training to the MST therapists and supervisors, and support regarding organizational and systems issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintains expert knowledge of MST and its component parts. Engages in ongoing QA of expert's work and professional development processes with coach
2. Provides weekly consultation for the equivalent of up to 10 teams implementing MST
3. Provides training and support to MST supervisors and therapists on a regular and ongoing basis, documenting training and support activities via written development plans
4. Conducts Multisystemic Therapy Orientation Training as assigned
5. Conducts Multisystemic Supervisor Orientation Training as assigned
6. Determines additional training needs of MST supervisors and teams. Coordinates quarterly booster training including scheduling, preparation of materials, communication with customer personnel regarding training logistics, and facilitating all activities required to successfully complete training and evaluation. Serves as a resource to supervisors and therapists for additional materials relevant to their training needs regarding research-proven interventions
7. Engages in initial start-up and ongoing Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement activities with each team. With support of coach, assesses strengths and needs, and develops plans to address needs at the level of provider and community systems that impact the functioning of the MST program, including via PIRs.
8. Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis
Provide clinical leadership to MST teams in effectively implementing the Multisystemic Therapy treatment model. The System Supervisor will provide training in the theory and application of MST to personnel with various professional backgrounds and who hold a variety of positions including clinicians, supervisors, administrators, and policy makers. The System Supervisor will assist organizations in a variety of ways to ensure the success of the MST program including: providing weekly telephone consultation and ongoing training to the MST teams; providing consultation and training to supervisors; and, providing consultation regarding organizational and systems issues.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct training in the theory and application of MST.
· Provide weekly consultation to therapist teams implementing the MST treatment model. The System Supervisor will work with up to five (5) sets of teams that come together for booster training or a total of up to10 teams on an ongoing basis.
· Provide training and support to MST Supervisors on a regular and on going basis.
· Determine additional training needs of supervisors and therapist teams and implement booster training required to meet these needs.
· Serve as a resource to supervisors and therapists for additional materials relevant to their training needs regarding research proven interventions.
· Coordinate training including scheduling, preparation of materials, communication with teams regarding training logistics, and facilitating all activities required to successfully complete training and evaluation.
· Provide consultation to organizations, MST Supervisors, and clinicians in issues related to MST and MST program implementation.
Carry clinical and administrative supervisory responsibilities for 1-2 MST teams of 2-4 therapists each
· Conduct weekly group supervision and training for MST team to assure adherence to MST principles and the MST analytic process, and to assure clinician competency in implementation of interventions
· Conduct individual supervision as needed to target clinician competency needs and to remove individual barriers to effective implementation of MST treatment.
· Assure availability of clinical and administrative support to clinicians 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
· Collaborate with stakeholders, both external in the community and within the provider agency
· Promote and educate about MST with both internal and external stakeholders
· Generate and manage case referrals and manage clinician caseloads
· Collaborate actively with MST Expert around implementation of MST by the program, and to ensure continued development of own clinical skills and knowledge of relevant research
· Manage and report data on clinical outcomes and program practices
· Deliver MST to a caseload of 1-2 families, as required to address program needs
Job Responsibilities:
· Conduct MST assessment including review of referral information, identifying, and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
· Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
· Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcomes review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.
· Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the nine MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process.
· Ability to engage and collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system, to maintain alignment throughout MST treatment.
· Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices.
· Participate in all MST training, supervision, consultation, and MST Therapist development activities.
