  • Conduct prisoner classification for MAX, Medium In, Medium Out, Minimum and Installation Custody prisoners
  • Function as the liaison with the Courts, Military Commands, and other federal and state enforcement agencies to include mental health agencies and military hospitals
  • Provide community treatment referrals for prisoners according to state and county statues and laws; for those prisoners who have a sex offense conviction and are required to register and have treatment upon release
  • Chairs the Unit Team Disciplinary Board: evaluates all facts and circumstances surrounding alleged prisoner misconduct/infractions, violation of confinement rules and violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ.) Through the investigation, determine whether the offense was committed and provide authorized disciplinary and/or management action
  • Assists in annual reviews of agency policies/developing and revising under guidance of SECNAV/DOD and ACA policies
  • Serves as Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) subject matter expert and instructor for staff and prisoners at the Brig
  • Conduct staff and prisoner training in pre-service, orientation and annual training.
