I worked as the Interim ED Manager for just over a year and a half and a Day Practice Leader (Assistant Manager) for approximately three years. Created a pediatric callback program in which parents of children seen in the ED (16 y/o and younger) are notified within 24 hours of discharge to clarify/re-enforce dc instructions. This resulted in a decrease of children returning to the ED within 48hours due to non-compliance. Built a charge by documentation system using IBEX based software and Advocate’s billing codes (icd-9, acuity level, etc.) in order to capture more charges through Physician/RN charting.
