Reliable and adaptable, ensuring efficient and compassionate care in dynamic environments. Equipped with expertise in medical procedures, patient assessments, and care coordination.
Also worked often as relief charge nurse in multiple settings.
I worked as a chronic dialysis nurse, for some time there, and then began to work acute dialysis, in the ICU, for patients who needed emergency dialysis, due to things like open heart surgery etc.
I'm sorry but i do not remember the dates that i worked there. I started working at ABSM really in 2000, starting at an adolescent treatment facility called Thunder Road, which was a place for adolescents with addiction problems. The cliental were either kids from the juvenile hall system for longer stays, or private pay shorter term patients. That was part of Sutter, and then in 2004, took a job at Herrick Hospital and have been there since then.

To whom it may concern,
I’ve been an RN since 1987, have worked in OBGYN, Dialysis and then the past 20+ years, worked in psych.
I’ve worked at Herrick Hospital since 2004, until recently retired Sept, 16, 2024.
I am currently looking for a part time job, per diem preferably, in either Psych or a surgery center of some sort.
I have a current BLS, and ACLS. The past maybe 5 years, I moved from the inpatient psych units, to working in ECT (electroconvulsive therapy)
On that unit, we do procedures, with psychiatrists and anesthesiologists, the patient is given medications by anesthesia, either Brevital, Etomidate, or Ketamine, and then given Succinylcholine, and then the treatment is performed.
I’ve worked in the pre-op area, the treatment room, and the post op recovery area. I have great experience in all 3 of those positions.
Therefore I feel that I could work in some sort of outpatient surgery center, because of my experience in ECT.
I also worked for years before ECT, on mainly the most acute psych unit, the most psychotic patients, there was many code grey events, and worked with many unhoused patients, and patients with addiction problems. Usually Methamphetamine. But also ETOH etc.
My job consisted of the usual nursing duties, charting, assessing patients, giving their medications, working with a team of docs, social workers, mental health workers, etc.
A while ago I cut back my hours to 1-2 days a week, and then fully retired on September 16th, 2024.
I am finding that I miss nursing, do not want a full time job, but a very part time job could be perfect for me.
I’m very good at my job, was relief charge on all units often. Also floated to adolescent unit, geropsych unit, and another adult unit, higher functioning, mainly depression, EDO, borderline patients.
But as I said, my main unit was the very acute unit. 4EB.
Thanks you,
Best
