  • I performed duties in the Shreds Department and worked the second shift at the Kiel Plant. Initially hired as a Heavy Duty Utility worker, I learned about Food Safety Requirements and Cheese Handling Procedures. My responsibilities included placing 40-pound blocks of cheese on production lines for shredding and packaging, ensuring the smooth operation of production lines, and preventing any foreign materials from affecting the process. Quality control was a significant part of my role; I worked on the inspection lines, supervising the packaging of cheese for shipment. I was promoted to Back-up Process Technician, a role that involved overseeing the production line, managing employees, and ensuring smooth operations, such as verifying the correct cheese, seasoning/additives, packaging film, and checking boxes, labels, and shred type for quality issues. This position came with considerable responsibility, which I proudly accepted. However, due to illness, I had to take a leave of absence, leading to my termination (in good standing) from Sargento. I am open to discussing this further during an interview.

This role demanded significant responsibility and extensive hours, which limited my time with my young children. Due to the modest pay, I decided to pursue other employment opportunities that provided more time with my daughters.
