Skills

This grant began two weeks before the Covid shutdown. This caused the grant tp be a whole new thing since it could not be excuted the way that it was intended. I worked closely with the IDHW and BEST LLC. staff to excute the grant in a whole new way. I was responsible for residents at PWCC
IMSI
SICI
SBWCC
and East Boise. I educated these residents on MAT (medically assisted treatment.) I scheduled the residents for MAT intake
mental health appointments
and recovery coaching. I arranged rides
food boxes clothing and any other essentials they might ned to help make their transition to the outside more successful.
Part of the job I held required keeping exact records of many statistics for the state. I reported to Badger reporting and the IDHW monthly
quarterly and at the end of each grant cycle.
I was wo lucky to be working on the inside of the fence at PWCC. I learned how the prison works and was able to establish good working relationships with the residents in the program before their release.
While I was at PWCC I organized the resource fair for three years. Many community partners from around the state were invited to come to the prison and educate the residents about resources that would be useful to them upon their release.
I work with a local food pantry in Pocatello. I was able to arrange food bags and hygiene bags for the residents when they release. Also
I was able to get the Center for Hope in Pocatello to provide Narcan for our facility. The Narcan is used for emergencys at the prison
as well as being given to all releasing residents. I was able to be trained as a trainer and educate our officiers on the use of Narcan in the facility.
I also had many responsibilities for BEST
LLC. I have been the chair of the Mental Health Symposium for 5 years. This is a day of education for first responders
clinical personal
any helping professional ie: recovery coaches
peer support and students. This is a huge responsibility. This opportunity afforded me the chance to establish relationships with many community partners.

Accomplishments

I was choosen for employee of the quarter at PWCC.

I was appointed to IBHC by Bree Derrick for 2 years. I serve on the medically assisted treatment comittee.

Certification

I was trained in teaching CBISA and TFAC by the department of corrections.

I was trained as a trainer in teaching how to use Narcan.
