- Responsible for monitoring raw ingredients by completing measurements, visual inspections, and other required tests. As well as receiving and sampling ingredients (such as grains, animal-origin materials, and toted materials).
- Responsible for monitoring finished product for food safety and quality. Assist in kibble and packaging inspection and evaluation.
- Perform in processing testing such as moisture, protein, fat, fiber etc.
- Complete weekly micro monitoring swabbing or additional swabbing as required.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: NIR, Ohaus, scales, Saftest analyzer, and Neogen reader. This includes setup, standard operations, and routine maintenance.
- Assist in hold product investigation and resolution
- Input data into plant PLC system and use basic computer software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word to generate spreadsheets and other documents
- Assist in customer/consumer complaint investigations, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action.
- Record and review documentation of quality and food safety
- Quarterly and monthly calibrations and verifications
