• As an Air Support Operations Operator NCO, you are a key leader and technician within an Air Support Operations Center (ASOC) or Tactical Air Control Party (TACP). You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing close air support (CAS), airspace management, and air-to-ground communications to support joint and coalition ground forces. My work directly influences the success of battlefield operations and the safety of both ground and air assets. In my role as an Air Support Operations Operator Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), I conducted maintenance on vehicles, weapons, and various military equipment to ensure continuous operational readiness. I operated secure radio communication systems to transmit mission-critical information between units, and instructed Marines on the proper use of weapons and combat tactics. I also investigated incidents involving potential violations of military regulations or laws, ensuring accountability and adherence to standards. I frequently repaired damaged infrastructure using hand and power tools, contributing to the development of operational strategies.
• I managed the inventory of supplies, ammunition, and essential materials while maintaining strict accountability for sensitive government equipment and documentation. I conducted inspections of Marine Corps barracks and living quarters, ensuring compliance with cleanliness, safety, and regulatory standards. Additionally, I supported personnel inspections to confirm adherence to Marine Corps procedures. I worked to enhance operational efficiency, and I developed and implemented new strategies within my unit. I monitored surveillance systems to detect and report suspicious activity, ensured that all personnel followed military policies and procedures, and maintained organized personnel records using systems that ensured accurate data tracking. As a veterinary intern, I will help and learn how to maintain accurate records of all activities performed during the internship period to support continuity of care and compliance with veterinary standards. I will be contributing to the health and welfare of various animal species by assisting in routine care, and observing a wide range of procedures. During this time, I will be shadowing the veterinary staff closely to gain practical, hands-on experience in clinical and diagnostic settings, including patient handling, monitoring, and medical documentation.
