Anand Kailasam

I was first introduced to the world of design as a freshman in high school. I liked in so much that for the rest of my time there I made sure to have at least one design class every year. By the time I was done, I was in an advanced design class, designed infographics for the school's newspaper (I even received two awards from the Scholastic Press), and I won a logo contest for an art festival the school was organizing. That passion has only grown stronger since I started attending Portland State University. I recently designed my own personal branding for social media, in order to share more of my work and connect with other creative designers.

I have used Adobe's Premiere Pro for a couple years now and it has quickly become my favorite program. If a picture is worth 1,000 words then to me a video is worth 1,000,000 words. I have been obsessed with music videos as far back as I can remember. Visually representing something that is intangible and giving it form is one of my favorite parts of design. It feels like I created a little world that I can get lost in experiencing. I have since taken the idea of making small worlds to other areas of design that are more static such as illustration.
