• Investigated the epidemiology of Influenza A Virus (IAV) in cattle across the USA through the analysis of gene segments in store-bought milk samples.
• Responsibilities included sample collection, cataloging, RNA extraction, and performing real-time reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR).
• I tested for IAV antibodies in milk samples using ELISA and am currently working on sequencing RNA samples extracted from milk.

Worked to understand how genetic and phenotypic diversity shapes the assembly and function of host-associated microbes.

• Prepared samples for analysis by performing complex sample preparation tasks, such as DNA extraction, Library Preparation, and Sequencing.
