Specific duties:
Meet with new and established client families in their homes, communities, workplaces, and NBRC offices, to conduct initial and ongoing person-centered planning meetings and annual reviews, assessing needs and arranging for cost-effective available services.
Use core person-centered values and professional-level writing skills to produce individual program plan reports that accurately represent the unique qualities and needs of each client and serve as a legal contract between the regional center and the state of California.
Provide ongoing case management and service extension as needed to existing client caseload.
Keep current on reports due, daily case notes, federal revenue compliance requirements, other required deadlines.
Provide informal emotional support to clients and parents when needed in difficult or stressful life circumstances, at times ongoing
Represent NBRC to outside persons, agencies, vendors, and other entities in a positive, professional manner that reflects well on the organization.
Guided start-up nonprofit youth theater company through 501(c)3 incorporation, recruited founding members of board of directors, developed annual budget, performed all administrative duties. Directed $75,000 travel project for cast to perform off-off Broadway in New York City, including coordinating major fundraising events, extensive volunteer management, community outreach, marketing and publicity, travel arrangements.
Volunteer position for internationally-acclaimed multicultural children’s choir. Responsibilities included community outreach, volunteer coordination, production management, publicity and ticketing, venue coordination, staffing. Researched, wrote, and edited grant proposals.
