  • Parkland Memorial Hospital — RN emergency room
  • November 2017 - Present (per diem)
  • Largest emergency room in the DFW area, level 1 trauma facility and high acuity pod (area) emergency room. management of MVC roll overs, extrications, and gunshot wounds, along with stab wounds, falls and major level one traumas that are transferred. Charge nurse, sits on several committees including those geared at departmental growth, improvement, review counsel, peer hiring.managing critical ill patients, iv start, use of sonosite to access difficult IV’s, transporting ICU and step down patients to the units, triage, management of stroke, cardiac arrest, stemi transported to cath lab. Administering TPA, maintenance sedation drips such as propofol, versed. Stabilizing septic and cardiogenic shocks. Taking care of a high acuity sickest level patient population.
  • THR Emergency room - Freestanding (Part time)

  • Triage, assessment, treatment including ACLS medications, Trauma patients, stabilization and transfers, superuser of lab equipment Istat, Piccolo, Glucose monitor, IV pumps, maintaining vented Patients, administering breathing treatment, accurately calculating drips, Pediatric dosing. Obtaining ekg, rhythm strips, one on one observation, psychiatric and pediatric emergencies, liaison with receiving hospital for rapid surgical management of emergency e.g. ectopic, appendicitis ruptured or obstructing gall bladders
