Before leaving Bethel AK, i had a phone interview with PCH and accepted a job as an emergency room RN. I have been asked several times to be a house supervisor full time, which i have declined but I do fill in on an as needed basis. I work as an ER nurse and charge nurse.

I had worked at a CHS hospital in Palmer AK that advised me to transfer to a CHS hospital in the lower 48. I interviewed and had a choice of jobs. An ER Charge Rn or House Supervisor. I chose the house supervisor role, I took on duties of house supervisor in a facility I had never worked before, I even was on duty and in charge of a disaster where a major carbon monoxide leak occurred and had to evacuate our 9 bed ICU that was full and had 8 vented patients that night. I was later asked to be the director of the Med/Tele unit. About 2 months into being the director, I was asked to be the interim director of the Step sown unit as well. Which i gladly did.

I gat a job at Mat-Su in the ER where i started being a charge RN with in 4 months. We left suddenly in May of 2018 due to child;s cancer returning.

I was responsible for managing a very busy cardiac telemetry and post CABG unit. I was managing around 60 employees and had 51 patients between the two units. In August of 2011, I stepped down as manager to become a float pool RN again to spend more time with my family.
