I am 59 Year's old and want to include that I am proud to be a Yakama Nation, Full blooded, enrolled tribal member from Georgeville, WA of the Rock Creek Band of the Columbia River I was raised in the seven drum long house religion as well as the Independent Shaker Church of White Swan, WA At a young age, I was taught how to weave baskets from my Paternal grandmother and as I grew older, I was taught by my Dad, Mother and two older sister's how to beadwork, make moccasins, barrettes, hair ties, necklaces, earrings, belts, etc I later became a seamstress making ribbon shirts, wingdresses, ribbon skirts, grass suits, jingle dresses, traditional buckskin dress, and shell dresses
I would like to share my talents with the Mother Nation Community and share the pride and happiness with others in learning a cultural craft
I have danced in the Pow wow circuit since I was six years old and traveled throughout the US and Canada in 84-85 as Miss Yakama Nation
May creator watch over each of you as you continue to take care of and encourage our Native women to find their strengths and happiness to overcome any obstacles that they may encounter and experience
