Person in recover with over two years of sobriety (7/1/2020.) Current Peer Recovery Coach. Have personally worked with coaches and attended PR women's groups. Experience in narcotics anonymous 12-step program and MAT services. Attended and graduated drug/sobriety court. No felonies or open CPS cases. Objective is to assist in creating a supportive environment, establish proactive coping skills and to provide options/resources to clients. Hopes to obtain a bachelors degree in behavioral health social work within five years. Passionate and eager to help others achieve and maintain long-term sobriety. Quick study with strong critical thinking skills. Solution oriented person who is able to build rapport with wide range of personalities, temperaments and backgrounds. Able to multitask and works well under pressure.
Working with adult women with SUD. Initiate and maintain relationships with participants entering services for substance abuse and mental health disorders. Assist clients with obtaining GED/further education, housing, income, employment, government aid, clothing, hygiene products, food/nutrition, legal assistance, inpatient/outpatient therapy, primary care physicians, healthy habits/relationships, recovery maintenance/emotional support options, independence and overall self sufficiency. Provide participant hope, client advocacy and proactive, recovery focused engagement.
Responsible for keeping records and obtaining client signed legal documents. Work in compliance with HIPAA regulations, document each session with individual clients for program compliance and growth.
