Continues the role of the State School Nurse Consultant (below), now as part of the Children's Community Health & Advocacy Team in partnership with the Nebraska Department of Education. Works with multiple agencies and partners to improve health for all students. Provides training and professional development for school nurses.

Manage the DHHS School Health Program by providing training, technical assistance, and maintaining communication with School Nurses statewide. Promote evidence-based information and best practices to schools, school health professionals, families, and agencies serving children and families in order to promote health and educational success for all Nebraska children. Active in many state task forces on children's health and mental wellbeing.

Assist women in enrolling in cancer screening (Every Woman Matters) and CVD risk-reduction (WISEWOMAN) programs. Perform case management of women with breast or cervical cancer. Collaborate with clinics on QI/QA activities to improve screening rates. Develop, revise, and implement policies. Train Community Health Workers.

Educate and provide technical assistance to health professionals on diabetes standards of care and quality improvement. Teach evidence-based chronic disease self-management curriculum. Design, perfect, and evaluate statewide diabetes risk awareness campaign. Analyze and evaluate chronic disease indicator data from online registry to improve quality of care in certified rural health clinics.
